Since the big storms in January we’ve had so much snow in the backyard as to essentially render the fence invisible. Despite this lack of a barrier, the dog never seemed to figure out that she could readily escape simply by walking over a snowbank.
Today something must have clicked. While much of the snow has melted and the top half of the fence is now visible, there’s a small snowbridge that she climbed over today so she could say hi to a neighbor’s dog. While I scolded her for escaping, a part of me was relieved to see that she had been able to figure it out, albeit after 2 months.
